About Jessica Manela
Jessica’s enthusiasm for design began as a child, studying art, drawing and painting, and spending countless hours rearranging the furniture in her bedrooms over the years. Her father has always had a flair for design, collecting interesting art, sculptures, and one-of-a-kind pieces of furniture from all over the world, inspiring her to eventually turn her passion into a career.
Jessica graduated from Barnard College in New York City with a BA in Art History. Throughout college she worked for artists and art galleries, fashion design companies, and marketing/advertising firms. She decided to pursue marketing after graduating, and worked for Digitas, a digital advertising agency, followed by NBC Universal, until she realized that she could connect her passions for art, design, and the feeling of “home” by creating interiors for other people.
At that time Jessica enrolled at the New York School of Interior Design, where she studied for two years. She also worked for a few different designers in NYC before deciding she was ready to venture out on her own. Today, Jessica finds tremendous joy and fulfillment working with people to create their dream homes.
Jessica’s creative process begins by listening to her clients, and then determining how the design of the project will make their home and life more beautiful, and exactly what they want. She can incorporate anyone’s personal tastes into her vision, and she is eager to please her clients and create a place that they can’t wait to come home to at the end of their day.
Jessica now lives in Westport, Connecticut, with her husband and two little girls.
